Listen Up! Music is proud to announce the release of “Earthdog”, the first solo album by singer/songwriter Dan Woodman of Lebanon, Maine. Dan has crafted an album rich with melody, grit, and a plainspoken, rural wisdom that comes from a life lived with an outsider’s eye and perspective. Featuring instrumental assistance from Kyle Morgan of Starcrossed Losers and other Listen Up studio musicians, Dan blends gospel, country, and bluegrass influences with a timelessness that speaks to the deepest definition of “folk music”. His keen-eyed and poetic lyrics address animals, autism, and environmental issues with insight and humor, while calling to mind the works of John Prine, Merle Haggard, and Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris.
